Web Site Promotion

Q. How will people find my site?

The first way people will find your Web site is by you telling them. When people call you they should hear the Web site name either from the voice message or from the person they talk to.  You should also use traditional advertising methods such as newspaper, TV, and radio to spread the word.  A good rule of thumb is; where ever your phone number appears, your Web address should also appear.

Q. Why do I need a Web site?

  • To help your current and potential clients find you more easily.
  • To answer questions about your company.
  • To increase your market area.
  • To stay equal or ahead of your competition.
  • To show your clients that your company is growing with the technology.

Q. What should my Web site accomplish?

  • Answer questions about your company.
  • Help you sell your product or service.
  • Give your company a presence on the Internet.
  • Build your company image.
  • Level the playing field between you and larger companies.
  • Provide a service to your clients.

Q. Who is my target audience?

As in your other forms of advertising, don't try to be the Web site for everyone.  Determine who your target audience is and design your site for them.
  • What age group(s) are you trying to reach?
  • What income level?
  • What gender?
  • Are you looking to increase your client base?
  • Do you want to sell on-line or give information?

Q. What is my audience interested in?

Most of us, when we watch TV, leave the room when the commercials come on. So why would someone visit your site for nothing but advertising? Try to add some content that will be of interest to your audience and update it on a regular bases.
